US Cellular should be convicted of loan-sharking. When you are late for paying your bill, they turn-off your phone, then charge a $25 PER line restore fee, and if you have 3-4 lines on a family plan, that adds-up to $75-100!!! A $20 PER ACCOUNT late fee would be fair, not $75-$100. I hope their customers start a Class-Action Lawsuit for these unfair actions.

My parents used U.S. Cellular when they got their first cell phones and they are still using U.S. Cellular. When I got married, I researched every cell phone company, and you know what, I chose U.S. Cellular! Recently, since my contract is nearing an end, I thought I would just check out other service plans and see how they matched up with U.S. Cellular. Well, I couldn't find any that matched up at all! Most were $20-$30 more expensive, for a lesser plan! At the moment I have 1000 nationwide family plan minutes, unlimited mobile-to-mobile, unlimited nights and weekends (starting at 7:00pm, AT&T charges $16 for this!), along with other basic cell phone services (i.e., voicemail, etc.). The additional features are much more cheaper than other companies. For example, complete unlimited messaging for the family plan through U.S. Cellular is $29.95. Sprint (the 2nd cheapest text plans I could find), was $40, because the unlimited texting couldn't be added too the plan, it was added to each phone (for $20 ea.). Unlimited family messaging and mobile internet (mobile email and web browsing), is only $49.95, and that's for up too 5 lines! I must say, the call quality is rather good, and having two U.S. Cellular phones (mine and my wife's) for two years, we've only dropped one call. We were also able to call back the person immediately. In addition, at U.S. Cellular, if you find out that your plan is bigger than you need it, even under contract you can change the size of your plan at no charge. They also have free battery replacement and are soon going to be coming out with free phone replacement. You can't beat that! I really wasn't thinking that U.S. Cellular was that great, but after researching other cell phone companies, man they're the best!

I have been with US Cellular since 98, and am now changing companies. They do not keep up with other companies offers, my bill is always wrong, and they are often less that honest. I found out when I went to cancel my plan I had 2 more months left than I thought- they had rolled over from a past plan change- and I was not told this when I made the change. I have noticed I am losing calling areas rather than gaining. Maybe all companies are this way, but I am definitely ready for a change!!

I have been a us cellular customer for over ten years. Originally I was with a different company and got charged for calls from Maine, when I was only ten miles from my home. They refused to reverse charges and we left. I have had a similar problem with us cellular, at least they reverse the roaming charges. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and coverage. They appear to have good rates, but that does you no good if you can't call out or drop calls. I have taken my phone out of the country on two occasions on both occasions I went in and asked if I needed to do anything to use the phone I was told no. Did it work absolutely not! When I came back and was complaining and a friend asked me if I had a Sim card....don't you think they should of mentioned that....possibly sold me one? Oh and don't get me started on the lost phone sent in for repair.

I have only good things to say about US Cellular. I've now been with them over 7 years. The plans offer more anytime minutes then anyone else and free incoming calls. Their customer service has always been wonderful over the phone and in the office.
